Cardiac rehabilitation involves a commitment from the patient and a team of healthcare providers. Cardiac rehab is medically supervised with an exercise program that is monitored to improve the health and wellness of those with heart disease. The Cardiac rehab teams usually consist of an exercise physiologist, doctor, dietitian, and can include others in the healthcare profession. It is very important to work with your team in order to recover from a heart event. You will receive the tools needed to live an active lifestyle and improve the quality of life you deserve.
Outpatient Cardiac rehabilitation
Those individuals that have had a heart attack in the previous 12 months, those with Coronary stent implant, heart transplant, heart valve repair or replacement, Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, or diagnosis of Angina pectoris or congestive heart failure, should attend outpatient cardiac rehabilitation.
Whatever your heart issues, you will benefit from the advice and close supervision of healthcare professionals to help you improve your health and lower your risk for future problems.
